Open Question: Moving to colorado with cost and living questions?

I'm a 19 year old female. I'm moving to Colorado with a friend for college and I have lots of questions if you can answer any that would be amazing!! The plan is to go to Johnson and Wales University and are willing to drive 30 mins to get there from where we live. We need a safe area for 2 girls, but we need to know other stuff too.. average cost of groceries? average cost of utilities? good city to live in? safest area to live in? good apartments?
